Ugg Sandals
No matter what city you travel to or from or what the weather is outside, you will probably see someone walking along in a pair of UGG sandals. I was in New York last summer and sure enough I saw a young pretty as a model girl wearing shorts and a pair of UGG sandals. She looked so comfortable and trendy, even though it was 80 degrees out! So, where did these popular sandals come from?
The brand was first introduced in 1978 when a surfer brought a load of them with him from
Australia. He began to make friends and the next
thing you know they were wearing them too. I guess the
rest of the world figured if cool surfer dude's are wearing them then hey, they must be the coolest fad yet and UGG's fame was born! In the '90's, the
concept was acquired by Deckers Outdoor Corporation and they turned the famous UGG name into what it is today.
The sandals are just one of the many Ugg styles that are amongst the most popular styles of footwear worn around the world and every year they get a little hotter!
